I haven't yet had time to pass this on the Topaz support, but expect to do so in the next day or so.ACDSee lets you organize, edit, and share your photos with ease. Luckily, I've found that if I want to cancel back to U2021, I can do that by clicking on the red exit cross at the top right (instead of clicking on the cancel button) and it then returns to U2021 without creating the error, and can subsequently be re-entered as a plugin without restarting U2021. Whilst that has so far left U2021 running, it then isn't possible to re-engage Mask AI again without first restarting U2021. In general I'm quite pleased with it so far, however see the disclosure below.ĭisclosure: I've had no problems with Mask AI doing what it should, and returning the cutout (or image compilation) back into U2021 as I would expect, however if having done some work in Mask AI, I then decide to abandon that work and just cancel out of Mask AI, it does puts up an "Error- plug in has crashed" on return to U2021. it has now been superceded by Mask AI, and I have only recently purchased Mask AI. I eventually came to the conclusion that Fluid mask was no longer available and I stopped using it.Īt the time I moved to Topaz Remask 5 which I found easier to use, and was using that as a plugin from U2020 and U2021. I did purchase Fluid Mask 3 when it first came out, and used it for a while, but after a change of Windows, Fluid Mask wouldn't start and at that stage I wasn't able to get in touch with Vertus. Question: Can I use Vertus Fluid Mask as a plugin to ACD? If so, is the the preferred most efficient route or standalone?

(b) Using 3rd party software as plugins avoids metadata issues, for example the loss of, that can sometime occur when the 3rd party software free standing. (a) when I use masking software, it is generally followed by some other editing work, so saves having to manually transfer files. My choice is to use it as a plugin because: Question: If so, is the the preferred most efficient route or standalone? I haven't tried it with any other version of ACDSee. It works here as a plugin from Edit mode in U2021 (see also disclosure below). Question: Can I use Topaz Mask AI a plugin to ACD? Hopefully I’m wrong and there’s an easy way to do this If I did overlook this in a ACDsee then I apologize in advance. Please let me know if there’s some other methods in ACDSee Ultimate 2021 to accomplish this like Snagit. That would be a pain to go back and forth between two separate programs when the $200 program should accomplish this. If it does not then I ask why not? It’s 2020.ĭon’t get me wrong I think ACDSee has some good options in it and yes some people might critique me and say will then use Snagit. I know I may seem a little bit negative, but I’m just hoping that this $200 program has the same functionality as the $40 program or better.
The only options I can find with ACDSee are the same options I’ve seen in programs I’ve used in the 90s.Įxample if I take my $40 Snagit 2020 program and try to remove the background it’s super easy. Although I am not an expert with this software, all of my research I’ve come across does not seem to accomplish what I want or least not easily like other programs.
Then grab that person and put them against any back on of my choice. Basically I want to take a person against the background and remove the background completely so it’s transparent like what you would see with a PNG file. Can anyone offer an easy way to remove the background from an image for the new ACDSee Ulitimate 2021.
